Are your smoke detectors working?

Smoke detectors need regular testing and maintenance.

Most smoke detectors also need to be replaced Avery 10 years.


As a smoke detector requires airflow to sample the air as it determines when smoke is present, this airflow can lead to the detector getting clogged up. Dust, oils and other airborne particles can lead to a smoke detector becoming less effective over time.


It is a good idea to replace smoke detectors every 10 years (minimum) to ensure your loved ones, tenants and home/business is/are kept safe.


We can provide a statement relating to testing and compliance of smoke detectors in line with the new government guidelines around rental properties.

We are also licensed electricians and will provide a certificate of electrical safety for all mains powered smoke detectors installed and/or serviced on your premises.
